What it is In-Home IV Therapy?
IV Therapy, also known as Intravenous Therapy, is the process of delivering liquid substances directly into a vein. Typically you find this being done in hospital, but with Enhanced Rehabilitation Services we are able to complete your therapy in the comfort of your own home. This can be used for replacement of fluids, such as aiding with dehydration and electrolyte deficiencies. Additionally, IV Therapy can involve administration of antibiotics on an intermittent basis.
In some instances IV Therapy can be used to for Total Parenteral Nutrition (TPN), which involves bypassing the normal digestive by directly supplying all nutritional needs through a nutrient solution directly into the vein.
